Sir Kenneth Robinson 4 March — 21 August [1] was a British author, speaker and international advisor on education in the arts to government, non-profits, education and arts bodies. Originally from a working class Liverpool family, [4] around September [5] [6] Robinson moved to Los Angeles with his wife and children [7] to serve as Senior Advisor to the President of the J. Paul Getty Trust. Born in Liverpool , to James and Ethel Robinson, he was one of seven children from a working-class background. Robinson contracted polio at age four.

Ken Robinson is one of the worlds most influential voices in education. His talk, How Schools Kill Creativity, is the most viewed in the history of TED and has been seen by millions of people all over the world.
